Stacking, Leaning
This exploration took a basic architectural unit, the brick wall, and looked at different ways of constructing and representing the archetype. This wall model deviated from the typical brick wall by stacking the bricks vertically, maintaining the ashlar bond lay, and rotating different bricks relative to each other. The shapes were intersected and adjusted to stand up on their own. The model was cast in plaster.
These axonometric drawings show the completed assembly, a section through the middle, and each individual brick element.
